Head of Clinical

AnswersNow is a socially driven startup that uses technology to support parents of children with autism. We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Head of Clinical to join our fast growing startup in our Richmond, Va headquarters.

Your work will include (but not limited to) enhancing the clinical support function by developing, selecting, training, and performing quality control processes to ensure every client gets outstanding industry-leading support. You’ll expand the reputation for AnswersNow clinical support across platforms (e.g. social media, content, industry conferences etc.) ensuring that every client gets timely and reasonable support, responsible for determining best practices and developing research of best practices.

Your role is vital to the success of AnswersNow where you’ll work alongside the clinical, technical and marketing team leaders to build a lasting organization. In addition to being a great communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of telehealth best practices and domain expertise in autism. Join us as we make autism service accessible to every parent on the planet!

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

BCBA Recruitment & Supervision

  • Develop and implement a process to identify, evaluate and hire potential candidates
  • Provide clinical guidance to support the clinicians when required
  • Develop a process to survey clinicians and parents to identify and implement best practices and training needed to improve clinical experience
  • Develop a QA process to allow us to grow the number of clinicians on the platform
  • Moderate BCBA groups (in-person via video-conferences and via chat/text groups)

ABA Learnings

  • Responsible for the creation, testing, and implementation of learning content
  • Responsible for working alongside other AnswersNow BCBA’s to develop and continuously improve learnings content

Research exploration and content development

  • Explore potential partnerships with universities and institutions to help create content for AnswersNow to demonstrate clinical expertise
  • Discover and apply for grants and funding through services such as the SBIR or NSF
  • Select and create outcome measures to analyze and report outcomes internally and externally

Content sourcing

  • Utilize existing BCBA’s to create content
  • Organize utilization of BCBA’s through social media in AMA forms
  • Responsible for working with marketing to create clinical content for website and BCBA recruitment

Product improvement

  • Improve the client experience by providing user and clinician feedback to the product team
  • Act as the liaison between the clinician and product team to ensure top-notch customer service

Education and Requirements

  • Graduate degree in education, counseling, psychology or social work
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • 10+ years experience working with and supervising other clinicians
  • Be prepared to think outside the box
  • Open to occasionally working non-traditional work hours
  • Results and metrics driven
  • An ability to master key technology concepts and programs
